Brainfeeder's latest artist RYAT (pronounced "riot") is the brainchild of Christina Ryat, a producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and sound manipulator who uses live electronics, instruments, pedals, and software to create avant compositional tunes. A recent LA transplant via Philadelphia, this versatile artist has a vast array of musical styles and prestige. Last year, commissioned by the Annenberg Foundation, she composed a French influenced classical piece with traditional Indian dance. With the release of her critically acclaimed big beat album Avant Gold, Ryat followed with an extensive U.S. & European electronic tour. Avant Gold and RYAT's intense live show caught the eye of Brainfeeder label head Flying Lotus who asked her to join the exclusive roster. Ryat's latest LP Totem will be released MAY 2012 on Brainfeeder.
Gemini Wolf

Gemini Wolf is an avant-pop electronic duo that weaves a hazy cloud of analog sound and melodic vocals with kraut inspired rhythms. Their latest album, Infinite Sand Dunes, has been said to have "energized electronica to the tune of Holy Fuck mixed with sweet but ghostly vocals akin to Warpaint". The band also doesn't shy away from instrumentals that have "Autechre-esque hums and drones".
Something In Spanish

SIS began 5 years ago in Miami, FL when Michelle 'Olga' Perez and Julio ' Santos' Monterrey found each other through mutual friends and started making music together.
Michelle played guitar in her teens, but she was interested in becoming more of a dancer and performer than a traditional singer/songwriter. Julio, a seasoned jazz musician (who at one point toured the globe with the great Maynard Ferguson) immersed himself in performance art and avant-dance music. Over time they have both evolved out of their musical comfort zones, discovering a sound that they now call Avant-Pop - a fusing of elements from 60's pop, experimental electronic music, dance and free jazz.
Throughout their 5 years of existence, they have earned accolades for their live show and unique sound. They have played alongside emerging and established acts from around the globe like Stereo Total, Japanther, the Pinkertones, Hess is More and Midnight Magic and have been invited to play some of the swankiest art shows on both coasts.
What started as a weekly jam session in Miami has evolved into a cutting edge musical project. Both Michelle and Julio are deeply committed to making Something in Spanish 'happen.'
