Mean Lady
Mean Lady
Mean Lady is three young adults creating a new sound out of elements from every genre, and tying it up with a ribbon called POP. Together, Sam, Katie, and Octie make a tidal wave of sound that is a unique and novel sensation, yet feels like home in the timelessness of their beautiful songs. Best of all, this music is truly enjoyable for all ages and all occasions, from grandkids to grandparents, from meditating in the morning to dancing the night away.

One new song every day for all of 2010. That's how it began: I wrote and recorded an original track every 24 hours. When it was all done, I put some of the best tracks on four EPs, which you can download for free. Then in 2011, I went into the mountains with a few friends and recorded an album based on my favorite songs from the threesixfive project. That album, Yearling, will be released soon...
Leaves of Green
Leaves of Green
Leaves of Green began as the bedroom project of James Madole. Equipped with one microphone, GarageBand, a ukulele, and a guitar, Madole created his atmospheric and ethereal debut album, Imago. The album, which was released in September of 2011, can best be described as lo-fi or indie-folk.

After the release of the album, Madole began playing around New York City with multi-instrumentalist Justin Krim, who helps to translate the texture and intricacy of the album to a live setting. In February of 2012, Leaves of Green released their first single as a duo, East 4th. The two-song single captures and expands on much of the intimacy found on Imago; Madole exhibits haunting and emotional vocals while Krim’s guitar work provides layers of texture and atmosphere to the songs.

Since the summer of 2012, Leaves of Green has expanded into a 4-piece band, adding drummer Dan Kalbrosky and bassist Jed Nimitz. In July and August the band recorded their forthcoming EP, End of the Actor at the Converse Rubber Tracks Studio and the Seaside Lounge, both in Brooklyn, NY. The band worked with Grammy-award winning producer Geoff Sanoff on their most recent single, “Caving In”, which has garnered favorable reviews from many websites. Leaves of Green hopes to release End of the Actor in the late fall.
