Gym, Deer
Gym, Deer
Gym, Deer is Robert Lee, or it can be the group of musicians playing his music. Alone, as on the upcoming first album, it can become layered voices and sounds crawling or racing through a sung story. But the Gym, Deer band gives life to, expands upon, and energizes the music he's come up with. The versatile members are close friends and colleagues in the Brooklyn scene. Mallory is also part of the rising star of Brooklyn band 'In One Wind', which is Angelo's brainchild. Anthony is a member of indie powerhouse Annie Clark's 'St. Vincent', as well as being in the growing whisper of 'Pony of Good Tidings' and leading his own band, 'The Building'. Ross is a favorite bassist and past co-conspirator for each of the other members. In his own band, his own compositions are strikingly unique and hard to compare to any jazz/folk/pop most listeners have experienced.
Ben Seretan
Ben Seretan
"Ben Seretan - from Brooklyn - plays the electric guitar, sings, and makes "long music." If heaven exists, Ben is going to find it with delay pedals and join the chorus of angels. Guitars cascading like waterfalls, joyful and lulling repetition, droning waves of guitar filling the room and lapping at your ankles. Ecstatic Electric American Primitive. Influences: John Fahey, Earth, Alice Coltrane, the Minutemen. His latest recording, New Song, was released in November of 2012."
Aaron Roche
Aaron Roche
Aaron Roche is from Brooklyn. His beautiful, intricate folk rock—driven by interweaving guitars and poignant vocal harmonies—makes minds meander mutually midst metropolises and meadows.
