New York natives John Paul Frank, Matt Gaffney, and Chris Bordeaux began Rumors in June of 2012. Their blend of ethereal pop is composed of catchy melodies, haunting harmonies, and dreamy, synth driven guitars. Reminiscent of Tears for Fears and Echo and The Bunnymen, their music can be categorized best as “a new wave symphony".
With a little help from their friends Matthew Iwanusa (Caveman) and Ahmed Gallub (Sinkane), they created Rumors debut album "Xoxo" in 2012. Produced by Albert DiFiore (David Byrne, Prince Paul, Francis and the Lights, Sinkane) at The Rumpus Room located in Brooklyn, NY.
They've recently shared the stage with such acts as, Sky Ferreira, The Postelles and Caveman.

Cascading Slopes
Cascading Slopes is the new project of Jacob Graham, founding member and synthesist of indie-pop group The Drums. He began his professional music career a decade ago touring and playing synthesizers for the seminal Christian synth-pop band Joy Electric.
With Cascading Slopes, Jacob returns to his roots, once again surrounded by radiant, intricately layered synthesizers crafted in the fashion and discipline of the great synthesizer pioneers of old. Electronic music's propensity for the experimental and the avant-garde is all but absent here, replaced instead with concise songs arranged comfortably in the popular folk style.
In concert Cascading Slopes is a fully realized electronic chamber orchestra with the assistance of David Barnhart and René Pérez on synthesizers and Caleb Graham providing live electronic rhythms. They will be performing throughout the tri-state area in the coming year.

Leverage Models

Leverage Models
Shannon Fields (Stars Like Fleas founder/producer, Helado Negro collaborator) has spent the better part of 2012 recording heartfelt-though-narratively-oblique, dance-oriented, roto-tom-fetishizing, kitchen-sink pop music under the name Leverage Models and releasing songs on limited edition cassette tapes via Portland-label, Hometapes (Bear in Heaven, AU, All Tiny Creatures). The debut Leverage Models LP is forthcoming late this year on Hometapes and Euro-label, Something in Construction (Memory Tapes, Concretes, Loney Dear), and will feature contributions from members of Yeasayer, M83, other heavy friends. Shannon road-tested a live band this summer on a 5-week national tour with In One Wind, and just released a a "double A-side" digital single (Cooperative Extensions / Sweep + Zambri & Certain Creatures remixes), recorded on the upstate farm where he now lives with goats, horses, and amish neighbors. Live at the Knitting Factory, Leverage Models will include Jon Natchez (Yellow Ostrich, Beirut), Aaron Roche (R. Stevie Moore, Amps For Christ), Anthony LaMarca (Dean & Britta, St. Vincent), Jeff Gretz (Zao, Emmanuel & the Fear), and maybe some other guests.
