DJ Dodger Stadium
In the past few years, Body High founders Jerome LOL and Samo Sound Boy have made names for themselves worldwide as solo artists. The two have reunited under their production alias DJ Dodger Stadium to release their debut album, Friend Of Mine. Friend Of Mine is ten pieces of hypnotic techno that tell the story of a wounded soul's search for redemption and peace. A soundtrack for the forgotten corners of their city, Friend Of Mine is Body High's most ambitious release to date, and the label's first full-length record. A dance album as heartbreaking as it is triumphant and as lonesome as it is euphoric.
Body High was founded in 2011 to release DJ Dodger Stadium's Stadium Status EP, which paved the way for a number of innovative artists to release on the tastemaker label, and simultaneously welcomed a new era for dance music in Los Angeles.
Over the past few years, Brooklyn-based selector Dubbel Dutch has solidified himself as a nexus of influence. He recently contributed production to Popcaan's acclaimed album "Where We Come From" and also collaborated w/ Le1f on the track "Boom". A notable tastemaker, Dubbel Dutch can be found hovering at the edge of what's next.
Ascending Los Angeles producer Sage Caswell follows up his widely received debut on NY label Peach with a 12'' on Decabaret. While Caswell's first release was a collaboration with fellow LA upstart Cromie, "Tribute 2 CC Archer" marks the young producer's first solo release with three late night house tracks. While Caswell's latest jams in "Tribute 2 CC Archer" are dancefloor-intended and heavy on the beat, his growth as an artist shines though with a unique, headier approach to house music while maintaining his steadily defined trademark sound.
